Adding Friends in FantaZ

Favorite Screen FantaZ has a whole social environment built into it so you can easily communicate with the people you play with (or against). It all starts by adding friends to your Friend list and building up your Friends Network.

To add someone as a friend, you first need to navigate to their FantaZ page... usually by clicking on a promotional link they posted on a web site, a social network, or Twitter. If you know a person is online, you may also be able to access their page by visiting the Community area in FantaZ.

Viewing Your Friends List

To view your current Friends list, go to your Profiles page and simply click on the "Friend" icon that appears near the top of the page. This shows you everyone currently in your Friends Network.

Friends vs. Favorites
The Favorite list is an "Exclusive Friends" list. It is a distinction you want to reserve for the people you contact most frequently. Anyone added to your Favorite list automatically appears in your general Friends list as well, but by having your favorites in a separate list, you can find them more quickly when you want to issue a game challenge or just start a chat session.

Adding a Friend...

  1. Navigate to the Profile Page owned by the person you wish to befriend.
  2. Click on the Friend icon
  3. In the FantaZ Friend window, specify whether you want to set the person as a "favorite friend" by selecting the check box. (If you do not check the box, the person will be added as a regular "friend".)

    Favorite Friends appear on your Favorites list as well as on your general Friends list, allowing them to be found more quickly when you want to issue a game challenge or a chat session.

  4. Click the OK button. A pop-up message confirms that the friend was successfully added.

Adding a Favorite...

  1. Navigate to the Profile Page owned by the person you wish to add as a favorite.
  2. Click on the Favorite icon
  3. In the FantaZ Favorite Friend window, click the OK button. A pop-up message confirms that the favorite friend was successfully added.

 

Removing a Friend/Favorite...

  1. Navigate to the Profile Page owned by the person you wish to remove from your Friends or Favorites network.
  2. Click on the Friend icon
  3. In the FantaZ Friend window, click the Remove button. A pop-up message confirms that the user was successfully removed from your friends list.

    Note: Removing someone from your Friends list automatically removes them from the Favorites list as well (if they were listed there).

 

Blocking Users

When you put a "block" on a person, it prevents them from adding you as a friend, and also prevents you from adding them as a friend until you remove the block. If you block someone who is already a friend, it removes them from your Friends/Favorites list and prevents them from re-friending you until you remove the block.

How to add a Block...

  1. Navigate to the Profile Page owned by the person you wish to block.
  2. Click on the Block icon
  3. In the FantaZ Block Users window, click OK to enable blocking. A pop-up message confirms that the user was successfully blocked.

 

How to Remove a Block...
You can only remove a block that you have placed on some other user.

  1. From your own Profile Page, click on the Block icon to open a list of users you are currently blocking.
  2. Locate the person you want to unblock and click on their profile picture to visit their page.
  3. On their page, click on the Block icon.
  4. In the FantaZ Block Users window, click OK to remove the block. A pop-up message confirms that the user block was successfully removed.
